Having grown up around my father and uncle who were both respected contractors, I was no stranger to working in and around trades. However, during my early adulthood, I ventured into the hospitality industry, where I discovered a passion for serving people, building teams, and creating a welcoming culture.

Although I had always dreamt of owning my own business, as I entered my mid-twenties, my desire to ultimately start a family conflicted with my aspirations of becoming a restaurateur. It was then that a dear friend, who owned a painting company, offered me what was to only be a summer job with his business, and I decided to take a leap of faith.

Upon entering the painting industry, I soon noticed a glaring issue from other contractors: that sense of hospitality and customer service I came to value was lacking. In addition, clear communication, transparency, and integrity, were absent, as I began to witness homeowners being taken advantage of by other unprofessional contractors in this industry.

Wanting to make a bigger impact, Grandview Painting was born. Our customer-first approach has proven incredibly successful. Additionally, we strongly believe in customer education. By transparently laying out the entire process of surface preparation and paint application in our detailed estimates, we create accountability for painting contractors. This accountability minimizes risks of any surprises and builds trust with our customers in an industry that has long had a less-than-stellar reputation for taking advantage of those they serve.

This notable achievement is not solely attributable to myself, as I firmly believe in the importance of involving all members of our team in the company’s vision. I am proud to witness many of them starting families of their own over the years and am grateful to be a part of that.
